Vice President Kashim Shettima assured the people of Mokwa, Niger State, of the Federal Government’s full support in recovering from recent devastating floods.
During a visit on Wednesday representing President Bola Tinubu, Shettima announced N2 billion in aid and 20 trucks of grains to assist flood-affected residents.

Conveying the President’s condolences, Shettima emphasized Tinubu’s solidarity with Mokwa and immediate directives for damage assessment and relief efforts.
Niger State Governor Umar Bago, through Deputy Governor Yakubu Garba, thanked the Federal Government for its swift response. He highlighted that NEMA was on site within 24 hours to coordinate rescue operations, a gesture warmly appreciated by the community.
