Nigeria super eagles booked an early place in the Round of 16 of the 35th Africa Cup of Nations with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Tunisia in Fès at the weekend.
The Super Eagles dominated for long spells, racing into a 3–0 lead through goals from Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi and Ademola Lookman.
Tunisia mounted a late comeback with two goals while Nigeria held firm to claim maximum points, move top of the group with six points, and turn attention to Tuesday’s clash with Uganda.
