The Super Eagles are expected to rise to nine points and be fully back into contention after today’s encounter in their 2026 World Cup qualifying matchday Six encounter against the Warriors of Zimbabwe, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Mohammed Sanusi, while calling on Nigerians to come out enmasse to support the Super Eagles team, promised that the first 500 persons to buy match tickets for the game today will get a free Super Eagles’ home jersey.
The NFF has also confirmed that match tickets for the game which kick-offs at 5pm Nigeria time will be available for sale on the match day, with the VIP tickets going for N3,000 and the regular seats for N1,000 each.
Also Leaders South Africa, on 10 points, square up to second-placed Benin Republic, on eight points, at the Stade Félix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan in a match starting simultaneously with that of Uyo.
Lesotho, now in fifth place following their defeat by South Africa on Friday, will tackle Rwanda’s Amavubi at Kigali’s Amahoro Stadium in the last match of group C.
