Talent is not Enough- Ramsey Nouah

"I’ve come to know and learn that talent is not enough. Discipline is what actually keeps you consistent when inspiration fails you”.

Ramsey Nouah shared his thoughts via his social media page about how talent alone is not enough to build a successful and lasting career. In a recent interview with Joanna Mustapha, the veteran Nollywood actor shared that discipline and consistency are the qualities that sustain long-term success.

Speaking in the interview, he reflected on his more than three decades in the film industry, saying many people mistake fame for success without understanding the hard work required behind the scenes. “A lot of people assume that success is like giving, but it’s not. They never see the work, the effort, the doubts and everything behind the scenes”, he said.

He continued, “I’ve come to know and learn that talent is not enough. Discipline is what actually keeps you consistent when inspiration fails you”.

The actor, who has built a successful career as an actor, director and producer, said many people only see the glamour associated with fame while overlooking the sacrifices involved. “They usually don’t see it, and they always think that when you’re famous, you’re successful already.”

“One thing I’ve learned over the years is that talent may open the door, but discipline is what keeps you moving forward”, Ramsey Nouah.
