Tech CEOs face tough questions on Child Safety Online

News

Five CEOs from MAJOR TECH COMPANIES are testifying at a US Senate hearing about the protection of children from online sexual exploitation.

Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew voluntarily agreed to testify.

However, leaders of Snap, X (formerly Twitter) and Discord initially refused to attend and were sent government-issued subpoenas.

Lawmakers are investigating how tech platforms are combatting harmful content online and what needs to be done to better protect children.
