The Nigerian Senate has postponed its resumption earlier scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, till Tuesday, April 23, 2024, citing “unforeseen circumstances”.
Senate Clerk Chinedu Akubueze disclosed the development in a message sent to the Senators at the weekend.
The two Chambers of the National Assembly had suspended legislative session to observe the Easter and Sallah break.
Last Friday, the House of Representatives, postponed its resumption till April 23. Its Clerk Yahaya Danzaria had said the shift in resumption was to allow the main chambers of the House currently being renovated to be made ready.
