President Bola Tinubu met NLC leaders led by Joe Ajaero to discuss the planned nationwide protest over rising insecurity. After the meeting, Ajaero said the NLC would hold further consultations, with its National Executive Council to decide whether to proceed with the protest.

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma and Labour Minister Nkiru Onyejeocha described the talks as fruitful, saying they showed the government’s readiness to listen to workers’ concerns and engage constructively with organised labour.
