As ART X marks ten years of championing African creativity, it is proud to announce the launch of Resonance—a transformative international residency created to support the next generation of Nigerian curators, visual artists, and designers.
In partnership with the Embassy of France in Nigeria and the Cité internationale des arts in Paris, Resonance offers three of Nigeria’s most promising creatives the opportunity to spend three months in Paris. There, they will engage in artistic research, cultural exchange, and professional development—building the tools, networks, and global visibility to elevate their careers.
About the Residency
Resonance is designed to deepen artistic practices through mentorship, institutional access, and immersive cross-cultural experience. The selected participants will receive:
- Personalized mentorship with French curators and design experts from Trampoline
- Studio accommodation at the renowned Cité internationale des arts in Paris
- Monthly stipend and travel expenses fully covered
- Curated networking opportunities with leading figures in the European art world
- A chance to collaborate with ART X Lagos beyond the residency

Residency Dates:
- Curatorial Residency: 3 October – 26 December 2025
- Design Residency: 10 November 2025 – 28 January 2026
- Visual Arts Residency: 3 December 2025 – 26 February 2026
Who Can Apply:
- Nigerian creatives living and working in Nigeria
- Aged 23 or older by 1 January 2025
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- Must be ready to fully commit to the residency and engage with the Parisian art community
