Death toll from the January 16 explosion in Ibadan rises to 5 persons

News

The death toll from the explosion that rocked Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, on Tuesday, January 16, has risen to five.

The state government in a new update yesterday, said two more bodies have been recovered, over the earlier three announced by Governor Seyi Makinde.

Fatai Owoseni, the Special Adviser on Security Matters to the Governor says the rescue operation is still ongoing, and the state government will ensure the diligent prosecution of those linked to the tragic incident either directly or remotely.
