The 25th of August 2026 was brought to mourning as Legendary Country Music Icon Dolly Parton passed on at the age 80. Her management said the country superstar passed away following “a brief battle with cancer”.

Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean, born January 19, 1946, was the fourth of 12 children living in a one room cabin in Pittman Center, Tenesse. Parton began performing as a child, singing on local radio and television programs. At 13, she recorded the single “Puppy Love”. She signed with Combine Publishing shortly after her arrival in Nashville.
The legendary American singer-songwriter, actress and businesswoman, dubbed “The Queen of Country”, had a career that stretched above six decades, with over 300 songs.
