The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) aims to achieve full ISO certification by December 2025. This was disclosed during the launch of its new ISO policy in Lagos, focused on embedding quality service, safety, and environmental sustainability across all airports under its management.
The policy integrates ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) standards. FAAN has completed about 70% of the certification process, with external audits scheduled for November.
Managing Director Olubunmi Kuku, represented by Dr. Luqman Emiola, said the ISO framework will guide internal audits and reflect FAAN’s commitment to global best practices in airport management. The authority also pledged to enhance environmental responsibility and employee welfare while maintaining safe and efficient airport operations.
