The Federal Executive Council has approved the construction of Lagos-Port Harcourt-Calabar Coastal Superhighway at a cost at 1.067 trillion naira.
Briefing journalists at the end of FEC meeting, in Abuja, Minister of Works, Dave Umahi said the road project will run through the nine coastal states up to Lagos, adding that the first phase of the project will have ten lanes.

Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun said council approved the immediate commencement of the social security payments to the vulnerable households, noting that payments will be made to beneficiaries with NIN and BVN.

The Finance Minister also said that a Consumer Credit is equally being established, to make goods become more affordable and rejuvenate the nation’s economy.
