In a bid to ease the harsh economic burden on Nigerians during the yuletide season, President Bola Tinubu has approved a fifty percent reduction of the current transport fare on luxurious buses for interstate travels across Nigeria.

Similarly, Nigerians will enjoy a hundred percent rebate or zero fare for journeys on trains. Chairman of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Presidential Intervention, Dele Alake, who announced this today at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, said the special presidential intervention commences from 21 st December, 2023 to 4 th January, 2024, adding that 22 routes will be covered under the initiative, in partnership with luxury
bus unions.
