Nigeria Defeats Ireland in U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup

Nigeria ended their U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 campaign with a narrow six-run victory over Ireland, securing third place in Super Six Group 2.

Lilian Ude starred with 3/11 bowling figures and 12 runs, earning Player of the Match honors. Despite a slow start, Nigeria set a challenging total of 94 runs, and though Ireland fought back, they were bowled out for 88.

This marked Nigeria’s historic debut in the competition, finishing just behind England and recording their first-ever win against New Zealand earlier in the tournament.
