Nigeria defeats Mozambique 59-52 to face Rwanda in 2023 Women’s Afrobasket semifinal

We begin with basketball where Nigeria’s national women’s team, D’Tigress have
qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing 2023 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket in Kigali,
Rwanda.
Nigeria defeated Mozambique 59-52 in the quarter-finals on Wednesday to achieve the
feat for the fourth consecutive time.
D’Tigress qualified for the quarter-finals after finishing top of Group D with wins over the
Democratic Republic of Congo and Egypt — but were slightly off form against the
Mozambicans.
Nigeria will face Rwanda in the semi-finals, billed for today Thursday.
