Senate Wants Perpetrators Prosecuted, Condemns killing of Soldiers in Delta

News

The Senate has called on the federal government to apprehend the perpetrators of the horrific killing and bring them to book.

The Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) had begun mourning the 17 military personnel who were murdered, by also flying at half mast, flags in all military locations in the country.

The Upper Legislative Chamber equally called for the recruitment of more policemen so that the military will not be dragged into civil matters.

In his remarks, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, advised the military to carry out a thorough investigation to ascertain the true identity of the culprits.
