President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has chosen Orire Agbaje, a 400-level student at the University of Ibadan, to be a member of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms. The committee’s inauguration took place on Tuesday in Abuja.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the presidency revealed, “Among those inaugurated by President as members of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms is Miss Orire Agbaje, a 400-level Economics student at the University of Ibadan. She’s also the President of @ui_taxclub, President of @SEIHUnibadan, and a Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) Scholar.”
The committee, led by Taiwo Oyedele, is tasked with presenting a plan of quick reforms that can be executed in the first thirty days. The President stated, “Essential reform measures should be proposed within six months, and full implementation will be achieved within one calendar year.”
