FG Declares Third Mainland Bridge Safe

Federal Controller of works Lagos, Engineer Olukorode Kesha, says the integrity of the third Mainland Bridge is not in doubt and remains safe to road users.

The clarification follows publication on social media which speculated that a joint of the bridge had expanded, calling on Lagosians to avoid the third Mainland Bridge.

Upon inspection of the bridge, Engineer Kesha advised the motorists to disregard the rumour and go about their normal businesses, although noting works are still ongoing under the water in continuation of routine maintenance of the bridge which started last year.
