Lawmakers in the Lagos State House of Assembly have reaffirmed their trust in Speaker Princess Mojisola Meranda, passing a vote of confidence in her leadership.
During the session, Oladipo Ajomale, representing Oshodi/Isolo 2, proposed the motion, emphasizing that Meranda was duly elected and remains the right leader for the Assembly at this time. His motion was seconded by Aro Moshood before receiving unanimous support from the remaining 34 lawmakers.
Assembly staff also expressed their solidarity with the Meranda, further reinforcing support for her leadership. Following the vote, the House adjourned its sitting indefinitely.
