President Tinubu calls for suspension of August 1 planned protests

President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians to shelve the August 1 planned nationwide protests against bad governance in the country.

Tinubu, who spoke through the Information Minister, Mohammed Idris, after a meeting yesterday, said he is gravely concerned about the economic challenges and working assiduously to ameliorate the sufferings of Nigerians.  

Our correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Information Minister also reeled out several interventions of the government to include the distribution of trucks of Grains through the State Governors, the commencement of the Student loan scheme and distribution of CNG buses, and appealed for more understanding from Nigerians.
