The Federal Government has approved the activation of immediate humanitarian response and support to the victims of the Christmas Eve Plateau massacre.

Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu who disclosed this in a statement, described the ugly incident as senseless, and inhumane.

While she condoles with the government and people of Plateau State, especially families of the victims, Edu explained that the Ministry will immediately collaborate with the Plateau State Government in bringing humanitarian succour to the survivors of the unfortunate attack as well as the affected communities.

She however noted that her ministry is unrelenting in its efforts to ensure that every Nigerian and all parts of Nigeria experiencing humanitarian crises are catered for in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
