The Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi has said that the Federal Government is intensifying efforts to revitalize the operational model of the Highway Development and Management Initiative (HDMI). 

According to him, this initiative aims to ensure the quality delivery and efficient utilization of road infrastructure through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).

Umahi in a statement said with the Public-Private Partnership unit of the Federal Ministry of Works and concessionaires from Africa Plus Partners Nigeria Ltd (APPNL), the Honourable Minister unveiled parameters aimed at strengthening the management and delivery of road projects under the HDMI framework. 

Key discussions during the meeting focused on reviewing project parameters for the Benin-Asaba and Lagos-Abeokuta road corridors amongst others.
