Legendary musician, King Sunny Ade, has denied rumors of his disappearance in a press statement.
Shared on his official Instagram account, the 78-year old Sunny Ade confirmed he is “alive, healthy, and grateful” to his fans, describing the rumors of dis disappearance as “false and malicious.”
The rumors started after his daughter, Damilola Esther Adeniyi-Adegeye, alleged he was being held against his will by her stepbrother, Dayo Adegeye, who doubles as the musicians manager.
However, King Sunny Ade and several of his children have refuted the claims, confirming his upcoming performance on May 1st in Akure.
King Sunny Ade, however, warned that he may pursue legal action against those involved in spreading the rumour, particularly bloggers and online platforms that published the claims without verification.
