The Federal Government has inaugurated a 25-member committee for the Nigerian Education Data Initiative, to build a robust educational databank for the country before the end of the third quarter of this year.
Inaugurating the committee, Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, said the databank which would be centralised and harmonised would consolidate all critical education data in the country.
He explained that the databank would provide comprehensive data on school locations, physical infrastructure, and availability of essential facilities to guide strategic decisions, investments and monitoring, particularly in underserved regions.
