In a bid to cut cost of governance and curb wasteful spending, President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate pruning down by 60 percent the travel expenditure of government officials in his administration.
Briefing State House Correspondent today Presidential Media Aide, Ajuri Ngelale said as part of cost cutting measures, the President directed that the number of staff to accompany him for international travels be limited to 20 and twenty-five on domestic trips, while office of the Vice President, First lady and the wife of the VP have five each for foreign trips.
He added that For Local trips, the Vice President will be accompanied by 15 officials, while the Wife of the President and wife of the Vice have 10 respectively.

He also stated that Ministers are to henceforth travel with 4-member delegation only for foreign trips, while heads of agencies are limited to two personnel.
