Senate begins investigation into Importation of adulterated petrol

The Senate has commenced moves to unravel the circumstances behind the importation of hazardous petroleum products into Nigeria.

A 15-man ad-hoc committee led by its Chairman, Opeyemi Bamidele, was constituted by the senate leadership to carry out the investigation, and they have promised to invite relevant stakeholders to answer questions regarding the shortcomings in the petroleum sector, culminating in a Public Hearing from September 12 to 14.
