Senate Denies Suspending Tax Reform Bills

The Nigeria Senate is insisting on going ahead with the proposed Tax Reform Bill Legislative processes, debunking claims of its suspension.

At yesterday’s plenary, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, reaffirmed the red chamber’s independence and commitment towards safeguarding the interests of Nigerians as it deliberates further on the contentious tax reform bills.

Senate also reshuffled the membership of the committee responsible for meeting with the Executive arm to address concerns raised about the tax reform bills under review.
