The United States has slammed visa restriction on individuals Washington deems responsible for undermining democracy in Ghana.

This comes ahead of the December presidential and parliamentary elections in the West African country.

Announcing this in a statement yesterday, U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, said the visa restriction policy is not directed at the Ghanaian people nor the government of Ghana, but only some specific individuals.
